SUMMARY:Ceremonies to Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Signing of the Treaty of San Francisco
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nSave the Date!\nTreaty SF‑75 • Circles of Remembrance\nTuesday\, September 8\, 2026\n• 9:00 a.m. — War Memorial Veterans Monument\n• 1:00 p.m. — MIS Historic Learning Center (Building 640)\nOn September 8\, community partners gather at the War Memorial Veterans Monument and the MIS Historic Learning Center for Treaty SF‑75: Circles of Remembrance. These ceremonies honor the veterans\, interpreters\, and community members whose service carried the world from war toward reconciliation. The observances begin the Treaty‑SF75 arc of remembrance leading toward the April 28\, 2027 implementation anniversary at the Eternal Flame Plaque and Japantown Peace Pagoda. \nThese two observances begin the concentric circles leading toward the 75th anniversary of the implementation of the Treaty of San Francisco\, which we plan to mark at the Eternal Flame Plaque and Japantown Peace Pagoda on April 28\, 2027. \nTheme\nHolding the Line — Passing the Peace\nThis reflects the shape of the two locations: the steadfast witness of veterans at the War Memorial\, and the quiet labor of interpreters at Building 640 who carried peace through language and understanding. \nWe hope you will join us for these events![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”10259″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”10261″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”10262″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
