SUMMARY:Never Forgotten- A Nisei Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Tell Your Stories As You Would Like them Told \nThe Nisei narrative is as complex as it is compelling\, enriched by the influences of family\, community\, culture\, and country. Timeless and powerful in the telling\, the stories distinguish themselves through the voices of those who share them. \nFamily\, friends\, and persons unknown can benefit from understanding how the Nisei led their lives before\, during\, and after World War II. Whether the events described take place in the United States or overseas\, whether the authors are civilians or veterans\, these lessons offer inspiration to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. These are the first-hand accounts of a generation unlike any other in American history. \nJoin us in a three-part workshop for first-time Nisei writers. Tell your stories as you would like them told. Tell them so that they are never forgotten. It is our intention to publish your edited works in the future. Location: NJAHS Peace Gallery\n \nWORKSHOP OVERVIEW.
