On September 8, community partners gather at the War Memorial Veterans Monument and the MIS Historic Learning Center for Treaty SF‑75: Circles of Remembrance. These ceremonies honor the veterans, interpreters, and community members whose service carried the world from war toward reconciliation. The observances begin the Treaty‑SF75 arc of remembrance leading toward the April 28, 2027 implementation anniversary at the Eternal Flame Plaque and Japantown Peace Pagoda.
These two observances begin the concentric circles leading toward the 75th anniversary of the implementation of the Treaty of San Francisco, which we plan to mark at the Eternal Flame Plaque and Japantown Peace Pagoda on April 28, 2027.

This reflects the shape of the two locations: the steadfast witness of veterans at the War Memorial, and the quiet labor of interpreters at Building 640 who carried peace through language and understanding.
